Pictures: Sep-2001

This is the kit that I got from Aero-tique. We got two complete disk brakes and the power booster/master cylinder with cables. Not a bad deal for $500 considering how hard it was to find.

This is the outer view of the components in the conversion kit.

Here's where we are actually changing them over. This is a shot of the brake setup before we did anything to it.

This is with the spindle taken off.

This is a shot with the upper A-frame taken off. Notice the new spring as well as the new lower ball joint. We also put in new bushings in both the lower and upper A-frames that you can't see in this picture.

Here's the final shot of the converted disk brake.

Here's a shot of the car with the new springs in it. Notice how much better it looks since it rides higher?

Compare this shot with this one taken in July with the old springs and shocks. Now this is a muscle car!

A rear shot with the new shocks and springs.

Here's the engine. It's not too clean or polished yet... Those red hose covers were there before I bought it.

Here's what my dash look like. I got the idiot cluster on the right (with lights for oil pressure, temperature, and battery charge, and a fuel gauge), an after market tach where the clock or Chevelle signia would usually go in the middle, and the speedo (in MPH!!) on the left that is blocked by the steering wheel. Here you can also see my Hurst shifter. I love the way you can grip it while your shifting.
