2006 St. Albert Open
Welcome to the page for this year's St. Albert Open Badminton Tournament. Our club has had a great history of hosting successful Open tournaments, and we are planning nothing less for this year's event.

Tournament Information
  • Date: February 25-26, 2006
  • Place: Sturgeon Composite High School
  • Events: Mixed doubles, Women's doubles and singles, Mens' doubles and singles
  • Time: Starting at 9AM on Saturday and 10AM on Sunday. See entry form for details for individual events.
  • Format: Three matches per event contingent on number of entries
  • Cost: $15 for first event; $5 for second event; $5 for third event

Miscellaneous Information
  • We will be using nylon Mavis 300 shuttles which will be provided to participants at no charge
  • All entries will recieve a free t-shirt (sizes subject to availability).

Results
This years tournament was one of the best in our club's history. We had a huge turnout with nearly 100 entries and over 15 hours worth of games. We had competitors from all around the province, and even some from outside of Canada. The venue was great and the games were even better. A big thanks goes out to Stan Graham for handing the draw-master duties, and to Naeem Haque and the rest of the executive for helping organize the other details of the tournament (shirts, concessions, etc.).
